U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 3, the Keystone XL Pipeline Act, by a vote of 266-153. H.R. 3 would authorize the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of the Keystone XL pipeline.
“Today, I voted once again in support of building the Keystone XL pipeline which has the potential to create more than 40,000 jobs and help make America more energy independent,” said Davis. “The President has the ability right now to help millions of Americans who are unemployed find work by supporting a project to boost our nation’s energy production. It is my hope that President Obama will take this opportunity to join a rare coalition of members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, the business community and labor groups in supporting this long-awaited pipeline.”
