U.s. congressman Rodney davis proudly representing the 13th district of illinois

U.S. Congressman Rodney Davis stopped by Central Illinois Regional Airport Thursday as part of his listening tour.

Davis is on the house aviation committee, so he stopped at CIRA and three other airports to see what kinds of concerns community members had.

The discussion included people from ISU, State Farm, Country, and other aviation officials. Many stressed the importance of drone development and davis says he's heard that a lot lately.

"Companies like State Farm, and Country Insurance and our local farmers can use this technology to make this better for their own companies, make things better for customers, and also make things better for the environment,” said Davis.

Davis says another key point from his listening service was looking for ways to increase passenger services at smaller airports like CIRA and Decatur.
