U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today released the following statement after Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) was sworn in as the 54th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives:
"Today, Speaker Ryan spoke about a fresh start and returning the people’s House to regular order,” said Davis. “I believe in this message of change and his ability to unite our conference so we can move forward and tackle the major issues my constituents expect their government to address. I look forward to working with Speaker Ryan to reduce our nation's debt, fix our crumbling infrastructure, improve our education system, and address many other issues critical to the 13th District."
