U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today announced he is accepting submissions from high school students in the 13th Congressional District for the 2016 Congressional Art Competition. The winner’s artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. for an entire year. “I’m excited to host this year’s Congressional Art Competition at the Decatur Arts Council,” said Davis. “This is a great opportunity for students to display their work and to showcase their artistic abilities. I encourage all of our schools to participate and I look forward to seeing this year’s submissions.” Entries for the competition are now being accepted and must be submitted to Davis' district offices on Thursday, April 7, 2016 by 5:00PM. Participating students' artwork will be on display from April 11th-15th at the Decatur Arts Council, 3rd Floor from 8:30AM-4:30PM. During this time, a panel of local judges will select the winner to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol. After the winner is announced, a “Fan Favorite” will be selected by followers of Rep.
