Davis Legislation to Honor Logan Palmer Passes Senate Committee
U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) released this statement following the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs passing his legislation to honor Petty Officer Logan Palmer. H.R. 5935 will name the post office in Harristown, Illinois as the "Logan S. Palmer Post Office." The bill passed the House on September, 13, 2018.
"I am very pleased my colleagues in the Senate have passed this important legislation to honor one of America's heroes out of committee. Designating this post office will not only honor Logan's service, but also serve as a grave reminder of risks that our servicemembers take on each day and the responsibilities we have to them as a country. I hope the full Senate will take up this legislation soon and I look forward to seeing the "Logan S. Palmer Post Office" in Harristown."
