Davis spoke with the minds behind XSpace Systems in Normal earlier this week. They are a small tech startup founded by recent Illinois State University (ISU) graduates. They discussed issues facing young entrepreneurs in the tech space.
Tours McLean County Jail Expansion
Davis tours the expansion of the McLean County Jail in Bloomington with Chief Deputy Jamie Kessinger. A variety of improvements made will allow for better treatment of mental health and other medical conditions. The facility also increases safety for inmates, correctional officers, and visitors.
Meets with New McLean County Administrator
Davis recently met with the new McLean County Administrator Camille Rodriguez and Board Chairman John McIntyre. They discussed the local need for mental health services, housing, opioids addiction preventative services, and infrastructure improvements.
Provides a Congressional Update to McLean County Chamber of Commerce
Davis provided a congressional update to the McLean County Chamber of Commerce in Bloomington with Congressman Darin LaHood. He also received their Spirit of Enterprise Award for supporting a strong economy and working to support local job creators through tax reform, regulatory relief, and other pro-growth legislative policies.
