Davis Announces USDA Grant to Purchase Gas Delivery Truck for Roodhouse
U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) announced today that the City of Roodhouse has received a $37,500 federal grant for the purchase of a new natural gas delivery truck. The funding comes from the Community Facility Disaster Grants program through U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development.
"This grant will go towards purchasing a replacement natural gas delivery truck for the City of Roodhouse. It will ensure that the city can continue to deliver gas in a safe and reliable manner. This is a great example of the kind of investments the federal government is making in rural America and I’m proud to support it," said Davis.
Project DescriptionThis Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a replacement gas service truck for the city of Roodhouse. The city distributes its own natural gas to residents and businesses. They need a new vehicle to ensure the community continues to receive their gas, and city employees need a safe and reliable truck to distribute the gas.
